The National Sports Council (NSC) has lifted the suspension it had imposed on the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah said that the suspension was lifted after a discussion between Minister of Education and Sports Sashmita Pokharel and ANFA officials at the ministry on Friday.
ANFA spokesperson Shah also said that Minister Pokharel had lifted the suspension unconditionally.
He said, "After a long discussion, the minister lifted the suspension. He told us to work together for the development of football from now on. He also told us to run Nepali football according to FIFA rules and work for its development."
NSC member secretary Ramchandra Mehta, sports advisor to the minister Siddhi Byanjankar, ANFA general secretary Kiran Rai, and treasurer Rabin Joshi were present in the discussion.
On Chaitra 11, NSC had suspended ANFA for three months, accusing it of trying to hold an early election and not following the country's laws.
After that, talks were going on between NSC, FIFA representatives, and ANFA representatives to lift the suspension and to run football in the country according to the law. Meanwhile, NSC was trying to hold a physical meeting with FIFA representatives in Nepal.
