Tekanpur Basuri training is being made in the effort to preserve the original ethnic art and culture.

Tekanpur Basuri training is a fundamental art and cultural preservation effort that has been made from time to time. Meanwhile, Tekanpur Basuri training has been started in Thankot 4 of Chandragiri Municipality in Kathmandu district. With the financial support of the Global Green Grant Fund and the coordination of Sustainable and Equitable Development Nepal, the Basuri training program targeting the Balami community in Thankot has been initiated. The training, which was started with the objective of preserving, promoting, developing, and transferring the unique identity, language, culture, and tradition of the Balami community, had the participation of children, youth, women, and music lovers. The organizers, Makwanpur-based and Chandragiri-based Tekanpur Balami Art and Culture Preservation and Promotion Committee, stated that the program will teach the basic skills of Basuri playing, swar-tal, and musical practice.
