Kathmandu, May 24 . The chariot of Red Machhindranath, the god of rain and good times, will be pulled towards Jawalakhel on June 3 (Asar 3) .
Astrologer Mahesh Mangal Joshi said that the auspicious time for Machhindranath's 'Western Journey' has been fixed for June 3 (Asar 3), on the third day of the lunar calendar . The chariot, which is currently in Thati Tol of Lagankhel, Lalitpur, will be taken to Jawalakhel on the same day at the auspicious time .
Following traditional methods, Joshi determined the date to take Machhindranath to Jawalakhel by checking the auspicious time . There is a tradition of completing the historic Bhoto Jatra on the fourth day of the chariot's arrival in Jawalakhel .
