Applications from 218 people have been received for the vice-chancellor of 8 different universities. The Ministry of Education and Sports has made public the details of the applications received in accordance with the integrated procedure for the selection and recommendation of vice-chancellors. According to the ministry, a total of 218 applications have been received online for the post of vice-chancellor. The highest number of applications, 50, has been received for Tribhuvan University. The same number of applications, 38, has been received for Purvanchal University and Pokhara University.
Similarly, the ministry has stated that 19 applications have been received for Far Western University, 20 for Mid Western University, 11 for Lumbini Buddhist University, 15 for Agriculture and Forestry University, and 27 for Rajarshi Janak University.
