There is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning in some parts of the country today. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions and partly cloudy in the Terai region of the country. Tonight too, there will be generally cloudy throughout the country. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning with moderate to heavy rain and snowfall in some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and a few places in Karnali and Far-Western provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly areas of Lumbini province. Meanwhile, various main highways and road sections across the country have been completely blocked due to the landslide that came with the rain. Due to the landslide this morning, the Kantipath at Pandura in Lalitpur Bagmati Municipality-3, the Bhume-Pyuthan road section at Khahare Khola in Pyuthan Sarumarani Municipality-4, the Kantipath road section at Bhyayangdanda in Makwanpur Bhimfedi Municipality-8, and the Mid-Hill Highway at Bimire Bhanjyang in Lamjung Madhya Nepal Municipality-10 have been completely blocked, according to Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police, Awinarayan Kafle.
