Kathmandu — Minister of Education and Sports Sashmit Pokharel has directed Tribhuvan University to make preparations to publish examination results within one month of the exams' conclusion.
Speaking at the 67th annual meeting of Tribhuvan University held in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, on Thursday, Minister Pokharel—who also serves as the university's Pro-Chancellor—issued directives to end the persistent issues of delays in conducting examinations and the failure to publish results on time.
Minister Pokharel urged the university to strictly implement the academic calendar and establish a system ensuring that results are published within one month of the completion of examinations.
He emphasized the need to transform Tribhuvan University from an institution focused solely on teaching and learning into a key think tank and research organization that contributes to the formulation of national policies, laws, and curricula.
Highlighting the necessity of decentralizing the university's authority rather than keeping it concentrated at the center, Minister Pokharel announced that the process of decentralization would begin this year by organizing convocation ceremonies in provinces outside Kathmandu.
