On this occasion, CAN Vice-President Roshan Singh explained that the Nepali team is traveling to China to play in this series as part of their preparations for the upcoming ICC U-19 Women’s World Cup. Expressing confidence that the players would deliver an excellent performance—given that they have had ample opportunity for practice—he advised them to demonstrate a mature style of play.
Head Coach Mahesh Prasad Rijal stated that the tour to China serves as a crucial opportunity for the players to address their weaknesses and gain valuable experience. He noted that the series would help in assessing the team's overall capability and in building a strong squad for future competitions.
Team Captain Soni Pakhrin expressed confidence that the team is fully prepared for the tournament and will deliver a strong performance. According to CAN, the ‘Belt and Road Series’ will take place from tomorrow until Kartik 22. The tournament will feature the host nation, China, alongside Nepal, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
