Kathmandu, July 29. Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal has said that the tourism sector is the backbone of the country's economy.
Inaugurating the 59th annual general meeting of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) here today, he stressed that all parties concerned should be active for the development of this foreign exchange earning sector. The Speaker said that the government should be serious about resolving the policy and structural problems of the tourism sector and said that professional organizations like NATTA should contribute their best to the development of the tourism industry. He stressed that the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines and the Nepal Tourism Board should sincerely work for the development of the tourism sector, which is considered the backbone of the country's economic development.
