Women's Saaf Championship : Announcement of Bangladesh Team

Baisakh 24. The Bangladesh team has been announced for the eighth Women's SAFF Championship to be held in Goa, India from May 25 to June 6.

Bangladesh announced a 23-member player squad under the captaincy of Afeida Khandaker on Thursday. Former champion Bangladesh is going to undergo special training in Thailand for 15 days before the SAFF.

The team includes captain Afeida along with Rupna Chakma, Mili Akhtar, Swarn Rani Mandal, Halima Akhtar, Seuli Azim, Surma Jannat, Kohati Kisku, Sauravi Akhtar, Shamsunnahar Senior, Unnati Khatoon, Arpita Biswas, Momita Khatoon, Maria Manda, Monika Chakma, Shaheda Akhtar Ripa, Ritu Porna Chakma, Umehla Marm, Sogorika, Tohura Khatoon, Anika Rani Siddiqui, Sauravi Akanda Priti and Shamsunnahar Junior.

Nepal started practice just four days ago for this championship. Nepal was defeated by Bangladesh in the final of the previous edition held in Kathmandu.
